Thierry Bruyère

Song – "Les chemins séparés 1"
- Now playing...

Thierry Bruyère’s pop/rock, folk, urban and wintry sonic landscape is reminiscent of such artists as Indochine and Neil Young.

In 2010, Bruyère made it to the finals of the Ma Première Place des Arts competition with his original songs, and got encouraged to audition for the Festival international de la chanson de Granby, where he met Navet Confit core musician Jean-Philippe Fréchette. Their ensuing collaboration led to the 2011 recording of Bruyère’s debut album, Le sommeil en continu, produced by Navet Confit and enlisting musical contributions from Vincent Blain, Émilie Proulx and Marc Chartrain. Bruyère later performed songs from the album as part of both the Francouvertes and Vue sur la relève music festivals.

With the help of his musicians, Thierry Bruyère’s album, a proud Francophone North American offering, confronts listeners with a bird’s-eye view of an all-seasons urban landscape inhabited by people who have long been put to sleep and turned into zombies by the constant onslaught of information media.
