Bourbon Gautier

Country singer-songwriter

Song – "All Aboard" - Now Playing ...

Born in Quebec’s far west, Bourbon Gautier was raised on country music and developed into a mainstream artist known for his personal yet accessible music and poetry.

A familiar face at Quebec’s ADISQ Awards, where he's garnered seven nominations and a Félix award over the years, Gautier’s genuine talent was soon spotted by the English Canadian country music industry. The first Quebec artist ever to perform at the Canadian Country Music Awards, he received a cash prize from Toronto’s KISS FM radio station and played opening slots at shows for such world-class artists as Kenny Rogers, Billy Ray Cyrus and Brooks & Dunn.

A versatile artist, Gautier is equally at home in front of a microphone or a television camera. As host of Bourbon Voyageur on Musimax for two years, he interviewed such country music industry luminaries as Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Ricky Skaggs and Trisha Yearwood. He also hosted a Radio-Canada country music show that featured major Canadian artists such as Luce Dufault, Bobby Hachey and Isabelle Boulay.

Besides being one of our best country music singer-songwriters, Gautier has also written film and theatre music. As a performer, he's played with such jazz greats as Oliver Jones, Ranee Lee and Nelson Symonds and, as an actor, he's performed opposite André Montmorency, Jean Besré and Hélène Loiselle.

Gauthier’s latest album, Gagner sa vie, features a classic duo with singer-songwriter Laurence Jalbert and a nostalgic road trip with Quebec country music legend Patrick Norman, who was once part of Bourbon’s former group Les Fabuleux Élégants.
