Ariane Brunet

Songwriter, guitarist

Song – "Réveille-moi de toi "
- Now playing...

Ariane Brunet couldn't live without music – and never has. She started learning the piano at eight and taking singing lessons at nine; had proudly won several prizes, competitions and rewards by the age of 10; and was given her first guitar when she was 12 years old. Mainly interested in jazz, she signed up for a diploma in collegiate studies in jazz singing at the St-Laurent CEGEP, in Montreal, and enrolled in a university communications program in the fall of 2011. For Ariane Brunet, it’s always been about music.

In 2010, at the age of 20, she released her first album, Le pied dans ma bulle, a refreshing and luminous collection of original songs dealing with life, love and the transition to adulthood, with remarkable maturity and refinement. Superbly produced, this Disques Victoire (Mes Aïeux, Luc De Larochellière) release was recorded with the help of top-notch musicians such as Toby Gendron (Éric Lapointe, Florent Vollant, Luce Dufault, Jean Leloup) and Sylvain Michel on melodies, arrangements and production.

Brunet’s debut album has spawn two singles, “Dimanche” and “Aime-moi,” that have enjoyed substantial airplay and bode well for the future of the 2011 ADISQ nominee in the Revelation of the Year category.
