SOCAN is pleased to offer exclusive lodging in Paris to its author, composer and publisher members who are visiting for professional or artistic reasons. The SOCAN House in Paris is a private apartment in the 9^th arrondissement, near the Pigalle metro station, just a stones throw from the legendary Moulin Rouge, La Cigale, Les Trois Baudets and “guitar street”.

If you wish to make a reservation to stay at SOCAN’s Paris House but are not yet a member, becoming one is very simple and easy. Please note, however, that because demand is very high, stays at the SOCAN House will NOT be attributed on a first come, first served basis. If more than one application is received for the same dates, the files will be examined and only one member will be selected.

The SOCAN House in Paris is at the disposal of members who have already started developing their career in Europe and who are already linked to at least one recognized professional structure on the European market such as a publisher, agent, booker, label, manager, promotional team, etc. SOCAN will give priority to applications for stays of 2 to 3 weeks

Application Process

To begin the process, please download the application form. Send the filled-out form and all required documentation to socanparishouse@socan.com.

Important Information about your stay

1. A SOCAN member may enjoy one stay per calendar year at each of the SOCAN Houses.
2. Application must be submitted to SOCAN no earlier than 3 months prior to the start date of your requested stay period.
3. Availability of all SOCAN Houses can be found in the Online Calendar on socan.com. Please consult with the Online Calendar for dates of availability and submit your application to SOCAN as soon as possible
4. Stay details: the duration and maintenance fee per stay are as follows:

• At SOCAN House Los Angeles: 7 days – CAD$200.00
• At SOCAN House Nashville: 7 days – CAD$200.00
• At SOCAN House Paris: 14 days – CAD$200.00 + 210€ payable to SOCAN’s local agency for general housekeeping.

All stays begin on a Monday. Check-in is after 12 pm (local time), and check-out is before 12 pm (local time) on Sunday.

5. The maximum occupancy for SOCAN House Los Angeles, SOCAN House Paris and each of the rooms in SOCAN House Nashville is 2 people, including you. If your guest is a SOCAN member, please provide their name and SOCAN member number on your application.
