SOCAN website launches list of legal music downloading sites

SOCAN recently posted a list of links to several legal music downloading websites on its own site at www.socan.ca. These sites have recently become SOCAN customers, paying licence fees set by the Copyright Board of Canada under Tariff 22A for online music services. Our list of links – which we expect will grow over time – not only drives traffic to these customers' sites, creating more business for them, but also promotes our members' songs and generates royalties for them, as visitors download their material.
